Sheffield Civic Trust and Sheffield Heritage Open Days

Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers. Every year in September, places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.

Sheffield Civic Trust is proud to be the local co-ordinator of this important annual event and we welcome you to our 2022 programme in Sheffield. This website will keep you updated on the events and venues participating in the Sheffield 2022 Heritage Open Days. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

This year's festival will take place between 9 - 18 September 2022 and as always, access to all HODs events is FREE!

There'll be something for everyone (you can download a copy of our 2021 brochure below to get a flavour of the sort of events offered,) and check out www.heritageopendays.org.uk for more details and for booking. As always, access to all Heritage Open Days events is FREE but numbers may be limited and prebooking will be essential for most in-person events.
